Till the beginning of September, Getto Food and Drinks in Amsterdam will be showing the photo series “Te And Jef - Story Of A Love” by Swiss-Dutch photographer Patrick Rohr.

Patrick Rohr was born in Switzerland in 1968 and worked as a journalist and TV moderator for years in his native country before deciding to register at the Photo Academy in Amsterdam in 2012. There, he trained to become a documentary and portrait photographer.

Mr Rohr lives and works in Amsterdam and Zurich, but he also travels a lot. This year, he visited Zimbabwe, Serbia, Bosnia, and the Ukraine for various organisations and projects. Soon, he will depart for new projects to Sweden and Laos.

The intimate relationship between him as the photographer and the people he photographs are typical of his work. This can also be seen in the series “Te And Jef - Story Of A Love,” on show at the Getto from mid-June. It is the intimate, hilarious, and at times difficult love story of two men from Amsterdam who act on the photographs as if the photographer was not present during the shoots. The viewer witnesses very intimate situations, without ever feeling he or she is intruding.

The exhibition “Te And Jef - Story Of A Love” is available at Getto's untill the beginning of September.
