How Comic Can Romance Be? Kiss Me

Finally a movie that will entertain both the guys as well as the girls. “Kiss Me” is a lovely Scandinavian romantic comedy.

Director Alexandra-Therese Keining tells us the love story of Mia and Frida, who meet at the engagement party of their parents. Mia’s father is getting married to Frida’s mother so they will be stepsisters. Amidst the champagne and snacks their eyes meet and both women know immediately how much they’re attracted to each other. But there’s just a little problem: Mia recently got engaged as well, with the beautiful Tim, her friend and business partner. She’s about to get married.

“Kiss Me,” with Lena Endre (“Millennium”) and Krister Henriksson (“Wallander”), is a wonderful Swedish movie to fall in love with. Don’t miss it!

  Is It Just Me?

One of the funniest and most romantic gay comedies was released on DVD early this year in the Netherlands: “Is It Just Me?” It offers a refreshing look at the quest for Mr. Right...

Blaine is an adorably handsome boy, but totally unaware of his sex appeal. Somehow he has trouble meeting nice guys, he’s never been in a relationship. His handsome roommate Cameron is puzzled by Blaine and doesn’t understand why he’s not enjoying his single status by having a one-night-stand every now and then.

Blaine prefers to sit in his room and try his luck online. This is how he meets Zander, who’s very shy. When they want to exchange photo’s he accidentally sends Zander a photo of Cameron. The romance is developing but Blaine is afraid to meet Zander for real and he sends Cameron in his place. Zander and Cameron seem to hit it off and it looks like lonely Blaine is going to miss out on love again... or is he?
