The World’s Best Transformation Artist!
The virtuoso costume-changing artist Arturo Brachetti will come to Holland for his first visit. In his show he transforms from one character into another in the blink of an eye. Brachetti pays tribute to Hollywood classics by changing from James Bond to Julie Andrews, to King Kong, to Scarlett O’Hara, Darth Vader, Gene Kelly, Ingrid Bergman & Humphrey Bogart, and Esther Williams while swimming.
Brachetti’s unique performances contain magic, drag, and draw on the classic clowning and Commedia dell’ arte techniques, as well as Italian theater traditions that stem from the sixteenth century. Superstar Brachetti adds a modern twist and has been awarded the most prestigious theater prices. The stage turns into his childhood attic and during his turbulent 90-minute performance he changes into over one hundred different characters. Babbling all the time in English, French, Italian, not always all that clearly, about his childhood, his family and his fascinations. He breathes life into animals and humans, changes from a lackey to a cowboy to a Kabuki actor, celebrates Hollywood and honors his idol Federico Fellini.

Brachetti has many fans: Monaco’s Prince Albert, Woody Allen, Shirley Bassey and many other stars. Arturo Brachetti is known as “The World’s Greatest Quick-Change Performer.” His show is a multimedia spectacle in which Brachetti combines magic, music, video, shadow play and comedy to a crescendo. The international press described it as “Stupefying!” Jacques Klöters wrote: “A fantastic show. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
